Guidance to Libraries in Ashiya / 図書館の利用の仕方

Taking out books / 館外貸し出し

• Lending period: 2 weeks
• The number of items you can borrow: there is no limit, a good measure is borrowing enough reading material for 2 weeks per person.
• Available for: anyone who lives, works or studies in Ashiya, and also anyone with residence in Nishinomiya, Amagasaki, Kawanishi,Takarazuka, Itami, Sanda or Inagawa
• To apply for a library card: bring an ID card - like your driver's license – which displays your name and place of residence.
• The library staff can always assist you in finding any material or books you need.
• Make a reservation when the material or book you are looking for is not readily available. We will do our utmost to meet your needs.
• 貸し出し期間：2週間
• 貸し出し冊数：制限はありません。1人2週間以内にご利用できる範囲で借りてください。
• 利用できる人：市内に在住（市内に住んでいる）・在勤（市内で働いている）・在学（市内の学校に通っている）、または阪神6市1町（西宮市・尼崎市・川西市・宝塚市・伊丹市・三田市・猪名川町）に住んでいる人
• 利用登録：本人確認書類（運転免許証など住所、氏名の確認のできるもの）を見せてください。
• 図書館の職員が本や資料など、市民の問い合わせに答えます。
• 読みたい本がないときは、予約してください。できるだけご希望にそえるようにします。

You can sterilize books in the library / 図書館の本を消毒できます

“Book Sterilizer” can kill the germs and get rid of the smell attached to books, and is available at the Main Municipal Library.
Please make the most of it.
Please note that you can sterilize books belonging to Ashiya City Municipal Libraries only.

図書館の本館に、本についた細菌を殺したり、においを消したりする、「図書消毒機」という機械を置きました。
ぜひ利用してください。
＊利用できるのは、芦屋市立図書館の本だけです。

Library book return post box / 図書返却ポスト

There are 3 boxes in the city. Please use it for return of books.

1. Main Municipal Library
   Location: eastern entrance and western entrance of Main Municipal Library
   Available hours: At the time of Main Municipal Library closure
2. City Office
   Location: passage leading from City Office B1 to Hanshin Ashiya Station
   Available hours: 6:30 a.m.-12p.m.
3. North of JR Ashiya station
   Location: “Ikoi-no-hiroba” in the north of JR Ashiya Station
   Available hours: anytime

Please note the following when you use the post box:

• The post service is not available on year-end and New Year's holidays
• Books with CDs, books belongs to other libraries outside Ashiya City, and Kamishibai (story illustrated with picture cards) cannot be returned in the post box
• Books are deemed as returned when they are collected from the post box
• Books from Branch Libraries, Community Learning Center, and Kamimiyagawa Cultural Center can be returned to the post box.

市内に3箇所あります。図書の返却に利用してください。

   利用できる時間：本館が閉まっている時
2. 市役所
   場所：市役所地下1階と阪神芦屋駅との通路内
   利用できる時間：午前6時30分～午前0時
3. JR芦屋駅北
   場所：JR芦屋駅北側「憩いの広場」内
   利用できる時間：いつでも

利用するときは、次のことに注意してください。

• 年末年始は利用できません。
• CD付きの本、市外の図書館の本、紙芝居は返却できません。
• 返却処理が完了するのは、本の回収後になります。
• 分室・公民館・上宮川文化センターの本も返却できます。

Audio-visual Library / 視聴覚教育ライブラリー

The material and equipment is available only to the staff of associations in Ashiya who have attended training
workshops sponsored by the Audio-visual library.

Material and equipment that can be borrowed:
8 mm and 16 mm projectors, slide projectors, tape recorders, overhead projectors, video cameras, VCRs, screens, 16 mm films, 8 mm films, video-tapes

視聴覚教育ライブラリー講習会を受講した市内の団体に、貸し出します。個人貸し出しはしません。
