Earthquake or Tsunami

If a large earthquake occurs, buildings might collapse, fires might break out, and water, gas, and electrical services may stop.  

If the tremors are large,

  • Hide under a desk and cover your head with cushions. 
  • When an earthquake occurs, turn off the stove and other gas appliances, and close the main gas valve.
  • Turn off the circuit breaker. 
  • Open windows and doors to keep your escape route clear. 
  • If you are in danger, go to an evacuation center. Remain calm and pay attention to information on television, radio, the Ashiya City Disaster Prevention Wireless Radio System, or Hyogo Emergency Net. for more details

If a Tsunami Occurs
If a tsunami alert is announced, evacuate to areas north of Route 43. If you cannot, evacuate to a high place or to a sturdy building higher than three stories.

Preparing for Disaster

  • Try to ensure items such as valuables (cash, personal stamp, bank book, passport, etc.), drinking water (in plastic bottles), food, portable radio, medicine are gathered together in one area.
  • Prepare at least 3 days' supply of drinking water and food, 7days' supply if possible.
  • Discuss emergency contacts, evacuation centers, etc. with your family in advance.
  • We encourage you to sign up the Hyogo E-net(Hyogo Emergency Net).

大きな地震が起きると、建物が壊れたり、火事になったり、電気、ガス、水道が止まることがあります。

地震の揺れが大きいとき

  • クッションなどで頭を守り、机の下に隠れましょう。
  • ストーブやガス器具の火を消しましょう。ガスの元栓を締めましょう。
  • 電気のブレーカーを落としましょう。
  • 逃げるための出口を確保するために、窓や玄関などを開けましょう。
  • 危険なときは避難所に逃げましょう。
  • テレビ、ラジオや芦屋市の防災行政無線システム、ひょうごEネットの情報に注意し、落ち着いて行動しましょう。

津波(とても高い波)が起きたとき
津波警報が発表されたときは、できるだけ国道43号より北に逃げましょう。できないなら、高いところ、丈夫な建物の3階より高いところへ逃げましょう。

災害への準備をしましょう

  • 貴重品(現金、印鑑、銀行の預金通帳、パスポートなど大切なもの)、飲み水(ペットボトル)、食べ物、携帯用(持って歩くことができる)ラジオ、薬などをまとめておきましょう。
  • 飲み水と食べ物は少なくても3日分、できれば7日分用意しておきましょう。
  • 災害時の連絡先、避難所(逃げるところ)などを家族で話し合っておきましょう。
  • ひょうごEネット」に登録しましょう。
